Swanwick Hall Sixth Form Application Process

Please find below our application form for the Sixth Form.  Our Sixth Form is as inclusive as possible and we encourage you to complete an application, whatever your circumstances as we endeavour to find the most appropriate pathway for all students.  Please be aware that courses tend not to be finalised until later in the year when we know how many students have enrolled, but again we do whatever we can to run the broadest and most competitive set of course options we can here at Swanwick Hall Sixth Form. If you have any issues with completing the application, please feel free to get in touch with Mr Deaville, Head of Sixth Form, via email on ben.deaville@swanwickhall.ttct.co.uk

If your application is successful you will be awarded a place on condition that you achieve the grades necessary to meet the entry criteria for the courses which you have chosen.

Sixth Form Entry Criteria 2024-25

Swanwick Hall Sixth Form Induction Days

All students who have applied to Swanwick Hall Sixth Form are invited to attend our Sixth Form Induction Days at the beginning of July.  The Taster Day program is essentially the start of your Sixth Form Studies at Swanwick Hall Sixth Form and consequently all students are encouraged to attend.

The program for the 2-day event includes course information, taster lessons in your chosen subjects and any others that you would like to attend, information on additional courses including the Extended Project Qualification and enrichment activities that will be available to you in the Sixth Form. To aid your transition into Sixth Form you will also be provided with an induction pack of work to be completed before September.  You will make your final selection of the courses that you will take from September, results permitting.

GCSE Results Day

Some students will need further guidance at the start of Year 12 if their GCSE results indicate that they need to make changes.   Each subject studied has specific GCSE entry requirements. Students must ensure that they know the specific requirements at GCSE for their selected subject choices.  If a student does not achieve the entry requirements for a course they will be asked to attend a meeting on GCSE results day.
